Fenway Students at 2017 Model G20 Summit
Three Fenway students participated in the 2017 Model G20 Summit at the beginning of February, hosted by Knovva Academy, GiantBug Education, and the China Education Symposium from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. Elisabeth Bastien ’17 (Health Minister of the US), Drayton Coyle ’18 (Head of Government of the UK) and Natanya Russell ’18 (Head of Government of Russia) spent five days studying negotiation, speech writing, public speaking, politics in different contexts, and the impact of media relations with students from across the world and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. They gave great speeches, shared their ideas and listened to others speak about their own beliefs. Throughout the summit, students worked collaboratively to form a safe space without inequality due to race, religion or sexual orientation.
As the Health Minister of U.S., Elisabeth Bastien ’17 won the Best Team awards with her team and received a $500 scholarship sponsored by Giantbug Foundation and Knovva Academy.
Congratulations to our impressive Fenway participants!
