Residents should be taking on small daily tasks in the near future such as leading the Do Now or explaining one homework problem a day. Also grading pre-asessments and doing a student AND an item analysis would be a good idea. Residents should NOT at this point grade quizzes or tests or take attendance due to the legal issues involved. The resident can take on these tasks in a few months time.

During class residents should suport the mentor. Mentors and residents: please talk about the role the resident should play when the mentor leads the class.
