Thursday Feb 25

In Class: Windmill Design Challenge

Directions: Use your knowledge of simple machines to design and build a windmill out of the materials given. The windmill must be free standing and should lift at least 2N worth of steel rings off the floor. After each test round, measure the work and power of your windmill. You may be asked to give a brief presentation describing your design and buildig process as well as the rationale behind modifications that you made to your windmill after each test round.


HWK : Answer 1 MCAS Open Response question in your notebook. You may pick one from of the 2 attached open response problems.

 

Friday Feb 26

In Class Heat Equation, Browninan Motion (see attached notes)

HWK due: Solve 4 problems from MCAS packet returned in class and use 4 step method, write an explanation that clearly describes why each answer can be eliminated or is correct.
