About Us

Our Story

Boy in graduation cap

Fenway is an Early College high school with more than 40 years of experience educating Boston youth. We are proud of our national reputation and many awards for innovation and excellence. Our students and faculty teach and learn together in a diverse, respectful community.

Founded in 1983, Fenway became one of Boston’s six original pilot schools in 1994. Fenway is devoted to providing a high-quality, personalized education to students from all over the city of Boston. Our proven success is largely due to our established set of teaching practices and school structures based on three core principles:

  • Intellectual challenge
  • Personalized relationships
  • Early College & collaborations with universities

What We Do

3 students

At Fenway, students take classes at UMass Boston, Wentworth, and Roxbury Community College, in an early college model. Our faculty members work hard to ensure that each student is supported, connected, and intellectually challenged. We encourage creative, interdisciplinary thinking and active, engaged citizenship.

At the core of our philosophy as a school is a simple idea: Nothing should hold students back. All students deserve a chance for success, and the knowledge and opportunities they need to achieve it. We provide our students with comprehensive resources and support both in and out of the classroom: students benefit from after school academic mentoring and tutoring, SAT preparation courses, and student support advisors.
