Career Day 2016
On Friday, November 18th, over 70 professionals from Boston businesses and organizations spent a morning at Fenway speaking on panels and conducting mock interviews for our juniors’ and seniors’ Career Day. Held every November, Career Day is a hallmark of Ventures, Fenway’s unique career-readiness program. Students arrived in professional attire, resumes in hand, and heard from working professionals in a wide range of industries. Our volunteers represented a diversity of careers: representatives in the fields of healthcare, finance, law, non-profits, journalism, education, software/computer science, advertising, public health, and retail (among many others) shared advice on their own career paths, choices in their education, and how students interested in those fields might get their start. All students also completed a mock interview with a professional and then received feedback.
Thank you to the countless professionals who made this event a success. As our students begin their search for their Senior Ventures internships and summer internships, this exposure and professional practice will prove invaluable.
